The Green Turtle’s design venerates the casual and laid back comfort of the Florida Keys, laced with tranquil colors and varied woods with old Green Turtle memorabilia decorating the walls and ceiling tiles. The restaurant is flanked by an art gallery and sports fishing outfitter create a fun, unpretentious atmosphere where locals and sun baked tourists alike can rub elbows and be whomever they want!

Andy’s love of cooking showed itself at an early age. He demonstrated great culinary prowess as early as 6 years old when he helped his parents prepare the crab feasts that were the highlights of his formative years spent in Baltimore, Maryland. After completing his culinary degree at Baltimore’s International Culinary College, Andy took the helm the of Baltimore’s renowned Admiral’s Cup Restaurant. After a successful stint in his home town, he ventured south to the fabulous Florida Keys, where Cheeca Lodge became his home for the next 7 _ years. He quickly rose to the rank of Executive Sous Chef and enjoyed some amazing career highlights, including preparing meals for the President Bush, Sr. who declared Andy’s Bar-B-Que “the best in or out of Texas.” Andy has won several national culinary competitions and was also named as one of the top chefs in the southeast by Santee Magazine. Andy has been seen on The Food Network’s Best Of as well as Food Nation with Bobby Flay. He was also chosen by Governor Jeb Bush to represent the State of Florida for the Governors’ Cup Seafood Challenge held in New Orleans, also featured on the Food Network.
